FCCASF was founded by family child care providers who saw the need for a unified voice in San Francisco's early childhood education landscape. Over the years, the association has grown from a small group of dedicated providers into a vital part of the city's child care infrastructure.

This page is being expanded. We are documenting the full history of FCCASF through conversations with founding members, long-time board members, and community partners. Check back soon for the complete story.

Founding

FCCASF is established by a group of San Francisco family child care providers seeking community, shared resources, and a collective voice in policy discussions.

The association grows its membership, connecting providers across San Francisco's diverse neighborhoods — from the Sunset to Bayview, Chinatown to the Mission.

Advocacy & Policy

Today

FCCASF continues to advocate, connect, and support providers — while building new tools like the vacancy registry and this website to serve the community more effectively.

People Who Built FCCASF

FCCASF exists because of the providers, board members, and community advocates who volunteered their time and energy over the years. This section will honor their contributions.
